Amanda Woodward is the General Manager responsible for the funeral division at the Tamworth Co-operative Society and explains the new opening below:
"The new Funeral Advice Centre is a first for us. From this new location we are able to offer support and advice on any subject related to bereavement to the people of Tamworth. You dont need to be recently bereaved or in the bereavement process to use the facilities. We can offer any kind of advice that is requested, including arranging a funeral of a family member, or seeking advice regarding prepayment options for your own funeral. We are conveniently situated near to the Tamworth Registration Office so families who have registered the death of a loved one can call across the road to make their funeral arrangements, safe in the knowledge that their every wish will be looked after and arranged with experienced and trained staff from the Tamworth Co-operative Society. All of our funeral services are provided from our main Funeral Home in Upper Gungate, Tamworth, where families can pay their last respects in the purpose designed facilities that have served families for over 100 years.Feel free to pop in and see us, we want to take the stigma and fear out of death and funerals. If you feel that you are unable to cope with a recent loss we can put you in touch with local qualified counsellors who can help you understand and come to terms with your situation. We have a separate lounge within the centre that enables families to talk and seek assistance in total privacy.
