Pupils attending the early years unit at Watling Street Primary School in Brownhills were on a high this week after a cheque for £450 was handed to the school by the Tamworth Co-operative Society.
The money was part of the Society’s Community Dividend Fund and was raised through generous shoppers at the Co-op convenience store in Brownhills donating the dividends they earned on their purchases to the school.
The much needed cash will help to buy a new adventure climbing frame for children aged between three and five.
Mrs Sandra Edge, business manager at Watling Primary School, said the school already had an adventure climbing frame but it was too high for the youngest children to use.
She would like to say a special thank you to the staff at the Tamworth Co-op’s store in Brownhills for everything they have done.
