Mrs Siviter will be stocking up with £200 worth of goodies for the festive season after scooping the top prize for her catchphrase ‘Delivering quality for 130 years.’

Mrs Siviter, a business co-ordinator from Lakeside, Tamworth, said: “I like reading slogans and words in general. So when I saw the competition I thought I’d have a go at writing one myself.

“When I found out I’d won it really brightened my day up. It’s come at just at the right time with Christmas round the corner. I’ll be buying some nice treats, like Advent calendars and chocolates, for my children, Catherine and Michael, and my husband Paul.”

She will also be using the free home delivery service the next time she does a big shop at the Co-op supermarket in Church Street.

“I usually buy small amounts of shopping at my local Co-op store in Glascote, but it’s a fantastic service if you’re doing a big shop. It’s great to know that once you’ve done your shopping at the supermarket you can just leave it at the checkout and have it delivered later without having to carry it.”

Dan Welsh, general manager of the Tamworth Co-op food division, said: “We had a lot of entries, but this slogan neatly summed up for us the principle behind home delivery which is to provide the best possible service to our customers. This is something I’m proud to say we, as an independent co-operative society, have been doing for 130 years now. It’s an important milestone for us and we’re pleased to be able to still offer free home deliveries after all this time for people who spend £30 or more at our supermarket.”
