Shoppers at four Tamworth Co-Op stores are now able to avail of Snappy Shopper’s online home delivery with the launch of the new service in stores.
Since 3 March 2021 Snappy Shopper is now available in four Tamworth Co-Op stores situated in Dosthill, Bolehall, Glascote and Tamworth.
Tamworth Co-Operative is a 12 site Co-Op. Many of the locations have undergone major upgrades in recent years and an ongoing programme of improvements is constantly being rolled out.
Andy Batt, Head of Group Development at Snappy Shopper, said: “We are very excited to be helping Tamworth Co-Operative Society build upon their existing delivery service and expand into the broader online/in-store opportunities. Snappy Shopper has a growing audience in the Midlands due to our core marketing campaigns and Co-Op collaborations in the region.
“Tamworth Co-Op and Snappy Shopper is a perfect fit and we look forward to a successful proof of concept which will give us the necessary insights on which to build and implement the correct services for existing and new Tamworth Co-Op shoppers.”
Dan Welsh, from Tamworth Co-Operative Society, said: “Investing in our stores and new technology means we are able to offer a far greater range of fresh produce than ever before. The addition of Snappy Shopper means our local customers can order their shopping online and receive delivery at home from as little as 30 minutes. We are very much looking forward to seeing how our partnership develops.”
The Tamworth Co-Operative Society now stretches way beyond Tamworth itself. The Society employs more than 300 people and its traditional values are prized by shoppers over the decades. A commitment to good service, coupled with a fair price policy, means it is still one of the most successful and respected businesses in the town.
Successful stores on Snappy Shopper are achieving more than £10,000 per week in additional sales with some retailers achieving £1m worth of incremental sales on the platform in as little as 14 months.
Snappy Shopper has seen unprecedented demand on its platform as customers look for a convenient, secure and safe means to purchase essential items and have them delivered rapidly. The service is now available from 700 stores across the UK.
