Tamworth Co-op has completed a £150,000 refurbishment of its supermarket in Church Street.
A state-of-the-art refrigeration and air conditioning system has been installed, with the customer service kiosk being relocated alongside the existing post office counter.
The store remained mainly open during the work, having to close only on two days to ensure the safety of customers.
Tamworth Co-op’s chief executive Julian Coles says customers will now be able to enjoy an enhanced shopping experience.
“The systems we have put in place are extremely green and energy efficient. The environment is always a top priority with us whenever major works are carried out.
“I think shoppers will also enjoy a more modern, vibrant and spacious environment.”
